"Move aside!" she barked.
Dean Zhang's face darkened. This intern had gone too far! The family was already distraught. If things escalated, the hospital's reputation would be ruined.
"Luna! Step back now!" His voice carried unquestionable authority.
The child's mother collapsed, her legs giving way. Medical staff scrambled to lift her onto a bed as the heart monitor blared an alarm, throwing the emergency room into chaos.
"Dean, the child can still be saved!" Luna pressed her fingers firmly against the child's wrist. "There's still time for acupuncture!"
Whispers spread among the surrounding doctors. "She's desperate for fame," someone muttered.
Dean Zhang trembled with rage. Acupuncture to save a life? Ridiculous! Even master physicians wouldn’t make such a claim, let alone this inexperienced girl.
"Luna, you're fired!" he roared. "Security! Remove her!"
Luna didn’t budge. Her gaze burned into the child's pale face. In her past life, she had lived as a tool. Would she cower again in this one?
"Captain Zhang!" She turned to the officer nearby. "Give me five minutes. Just five!"
