"Hey, sweetheart, did you miss me?"
As she spoke, Bianca glanced at the time on her phone.
Considering the time difference, he should be busy with work. Why was he calling now?
"Yeah."
The man responded with a single word.
But Bianca didn't mind. She was pleased to get any response from him and smiled, "Don't worry, I'll be back with you soon."
But the man didn't give Bianca a chance to continue. He cut her off, "How much longer?"
His tone was cold, like a command, devoid of any emotion.
Bianca was used to his personality and way of doing things. She pouted, "Didn't you say you'd give me ten days? It's only been three."
His clinginess made Bianca uncomfortable.
When they were abroad, he didn't seem to care much about her.
But now that she had left, he acted like he couldn't live without her.
He called frequently to monitor her every move, urgently wanting her to return.
She had no right to argue; otherwise, he would stare at her with a scrutinizing gaze, making her shiver.

On the other end, the man's voice remained cold, but he sat at a large desk with an air of control.

Bianca wasn't surprised that he got the news faster than she did.

But this made Bianca very uncomfortable. She even resented it.

"Hey, if you keep this up, I'm gonna get mad."
"You know I hate being controlled. It makes me feel like a caged bird."
Though she couldn't afford to offend him, he liked her face, and a bit of attitude helped her manage him better.
"Did you have your people report on me again?"
The man's tone rose slightly, "Why, don't I have the right?"
"But it makes me uncomfortable, with no personal space."
Bianca softened her tone, pleading with him.
"Don't forget, you belong to me."
His brief statement instantly silenced Bianca. She didn't dare say more.
She knew too well how possessive he was.
Angering him would have dire consequences.
She had to comply to get what she wanted from him.
"Of course, I'm yours, from head to toe. But you know my home is here. If I leave now, I might never come back. Can I stay a few more days?"
Looking at the fierce man on the screen, Bianca carefully coaxed him.
She also tried to buy herself more time.
"You promised me ten days. Did you forget?"
"And it's not that I don't want to return sooner. Things here aren't fully settled. You know how important this is. If I leave now, it might mess up your plans. I need to finish the handover."
Hearing it involved his plans, the man hesitated.
Seeing this, Bianca quickly swore, "Baby, I know you're the best. Just give me a few more days. Once I'm done here, I'll fly back to you immediately, okay?"
"I'll be with you every day and night. I'm just afraid you'll get tired of me."
