Adrian Sinclair's gaze settled on her.
She happened to look down.
Loose strands of hair obscured her profile.
He watched for a moment.
Reaching out, he gently brushed her hair aside.
Anna Ross jolted back as if electrified.
"Sophia and the others should have the noodles ready by now."
"Let's go back and eat."
She had only taken a few steps.
A delighted voice called out from behind.
"Adrian! What are you doing here?"
It was Chloe Valentine's voice.
Sure enough.
The figure rushed straight into Adrian Sinclair's arms.
"Adrian, what a coincidence."
"Could you take me home?"
Adrian frowned slightly.
His gaze shifted toward her.
Anna immediately averted her face.
He would probably take her home.
But that had nothing to do with her.
She was about to leave.

"Executive Assistant Ross, I didn't expect you to be here too."
"I didn't notice you earlier. My apologies."

"It's fine. I just came down to buy something."

"You should head back first."

Turning, she went straight upstairs.

"Let's go. I'll take you home."

The time he spent with her was pitifully scarce.
Yet he was willing to spare time for this woman.
But she had to endure it.
As long as she remained patient.

Marcus Hill emerged from the kitchen carrying bowls of noodles.

"He actually left me here!"
"I need to have a serious talk with him!"

Her earlier hunger had completely vanished.
"You two eat."
"I'm going to freshen up first."
