She ignored them all.

Inside the wardrobe, Sebastian Valdemar's breathing grew heavier.

The man paid no attention, his focus locked on Isabella's approaching figure through the narrow gap.
"Miss Langley, Mr. Valdemar is looking for you."
Theodore Ashcroft's voice rang out like salvation.
Isabella paused mid-step, then turned on her heel without hesitation.
The wardrobe door burst open.
Evelyn stumbled out, only to be caught by Sebastian's steady grip.
"Thanks." She quickly pulled away.

Across the ballroom, Isabella clenched her fists in frustration.

"Nothing." She forced a sweet smile.
Edward waved a hand magnanimously. "I'll buy you a new car."
"Thank you, Father." Isabella beamed, then glanced pointedly at Evelyn nearby. "Evelyn and I will always be the closest of sisters."
The corner of Evelyn's mouth curled into a cold smirk.
