Vincent Lowell kicked open the front door to find Victoria Lowell touching up her makeup in front of the mirror. Without a word, he stormed over and slapped her across the face.

The sharp crack echoed through the room as her lipstick clattered to the floor.

"Dad!" she shrieked, clutching her cheek.

"Shut up!" Vincent's veins bulged at his temples. "Look what you've done! Those photos are all over the internet!"

Tears spilled down Victoria's face. "It's all Evelyn Roland's fault! That bitch set me up!"

"You dare blame others?" Vincent grabbed her collar and shook her. "One more stunt like this, and I'll break your legs myself!"

Meanwhile, Valdemar Group's stock prices soared. The market responded enthusiastically to news of their collaboration with KL Design Group.

In the design department, Evelyn meticulously inspected the newly completed jewelry pieces. Three rare gemstones sparkled under the lights, perfectly set into the platinum bases she'd designed.

"Perfect," she murmured, closing the velvet case. "Send these to Sebastian for final approval."

Her assistant had just picked up the box when a crowd suddenly flooded the office.

"Wow! Is this the KL collection?" A female colleague gasped dramatically.

"Let us see!" A male coworker reached for the box.

The assistant stumbled back. "Be careful!"

"What's the big deal?" Someone snatched the case. "It's not like we'll break it."

Evelyn frowned. "Don't damage—"

Before she could finish, the group jostled around the box. Someone bumped into another—

Crash.

The sound of shattering gemstones pierced the air.

Silence fell.

"Not me!" The first grabber jumped away.

"You started it!"

"Bullshit! You're the one who pushed!"

Pale-faced, they all backed away, pointing fingers. The three priceless gems lay in fragments, their fractured surfaces mocking them under the lights.

Then a finger shot toward Evelyn.

"It's her fault! She dropped the box!"
