Nathaniel swiftly retrieved his phone and transferred the agreed amount.
Seeing the ten thousand dors reflected in her account, Evelyn inhaled deeply and plastered on a professional smile.
"Do you have any specific preferences for the outfit? Or details about the event you're attending?"
Nathaniel arched a brow, impressed by her sudden professionalism. "A business gala this weekend."
With that, he strode out of the bedroom.
Evelyn leaned back, exhaling slowly.
She knew exactly what Nathaniel should wear to a business gala—but executing it would be bitter.
Then, as she stared at the freshly deposited ten thousand dors, an idea struck.
"Abigail, open the bottom drawer. There's a bright red suit inside. Pair it with these accessories and leave it here."
Abigail eyed the vibrant ensemble skeptically. "Are you certain about this?"
Nathaniel’s wardrobe was typically filled with neutrals—black, white, gray. This choice was... bold.
"Trust my judgment. I’m the stylist here," Evelyn assured, though she knew Nathaniel would never pick this himself.

If he trusted her enough to let her style him, she might as well have some fun with it.
After finalizing the outfit, Evelyn left the marital villa in high spirits.
She hailed a taxi and arrived at her neighborhood entrance.
Hunger gnawed at her, so she stopped at a street vendor for tacos.
Just as she took her first bite, Julian’s voice startled her from behind. "Evelyn, what are you eating?"
Her posture stiffened briefly before she turned.
Julian stepped out of his car, his expression unreadable.
"I was just grabbing a late-night snack," she explained quickly.
Admitting she hadn’t eaten dinner would only earn her another lecture.
He joined her, ordering tacos for himself. "Watching you eat made me hungry."
Relieved by his calm demeanor, Evelyn relaxed.
They sat across from each other, savoring their meal in comfortable silence.
Afterward, they walked side by side toward the residential area.
Evelyn wasn’t surprised to see Julian—he owned property nearby too.
"You look exhausted," he observed.
She touched her face and chuckled. "Just work stress."
"Evelyn, carrying twins is no small feat. Maybe you should consider taking a break from work and focusing on your studies."
After a pause, she nodded. "I’ll talk to Jonathan at the studio later."
Lately, work had been overwhelming—especially with the unwanted attention.
Maintaining a low profile seemed the safest option.
Julian gently brushed her hair back. "Being a single mother won’t be easy. Are you sure you want to keep Nathaniel’s children?"
