"Sorry for worrying you, Andrew."
"Don't apologize. I'm just relieved you're unharmed. As much as I despise Nathaniel Whitmore, I'm grateful he was there when you needed him."
"Evelyn, you don't have to shoulder everything alone anymore. You have us—your family."
A soft smile curved Evelyn's lips. "I know. But these past few weeks have been… complicated. I want to finish my credits and graduate. I’m working hard so I can move back to Nord City with all of you."
Andrew wasn’t surprised. Alexander had been working tirelessly to make that happen.
He studied her carefully. "Evelyn, when are you planning to tell Alexander and the others about you and Nathaniel?"
"After we return to Nord City. I’m afraid Alexander might confront him on my behalf. Since I’m leaving soon anyway, there’s no need to stir up more trouble. I just hope he won’t be upset that I kept this from him."
"He won’t be. And when the time comes… I have something to tell you too."
After much deliberation, the Montgomery brothers had decided to reveal the truth to Evelyn the day she returned to Nord City.

"Alright." Evelyn simply nodded, trusting her brothers implicitly. She knew they would never do anything to hurt her.

"I’m fine. I just fainted in the cafeteria because of low blood sugar. He took me to the hospital."
Christopher scoffed. "That’s the least he could do."

"I’m not mad at you. I’m furious at him. That bastard doesn’t deserve you! And yet he had the audacity to ask for a divorce instead of taking care of you? I’ll never forgive him for that!"
Andrew interjected, "I already gave him a piece of my mind about it."
