Michael's face grew darker, standing still in place.

Anger surged within him, and he directly pointed at Nolan, questioning, "Isabella, Dare you admit you come home today not because of him?"

Isabella frowned and thought, 'Yes, I have indeed come because of Nolan. But why is Michael so agitated? Why can't I come to Nolan's party?'

"Michael, what exactly are you trying to say? What's wrong with Isabella attending my party?" Nolan frowned, looking at Michael in front of him.

He couldn't stand Michael bullying Isabella like this.

"Why do you call her that? And you say you have no other intentions towards her? Nolan, don't forget she's my wife. If you want to see her, just say so. Why go through the trouble of having Grandpa throw a family party? Do you think I don't understand your intentions?" Michael directly exposed Nolan's thoughts.

But Nolan didn't defend himself at all; he just spread his hands helplessly. "Michael, I don't know what you're talking about. If you insist on thinking that way, my explanation will just seem like another excuse to you, won't it?"

"Others can't see through you because you disguise yourself too well. But I know what you're really thinking, Nolan. You'd better stay away from her." Michael's eyes were cold, and he was very rude to Nolan.

Nolan trying to take Isabella away right in front of him; he wasn't deserve to be his brother.

Isabella watched all this, feeling both heartache and guilt towards Nolan; she had even less affection for Michael.

The only one who truly bullied her in this family was Michael, not others. How could he shout at Nolan like that?

Isabella snapped, "Michael, I really misjudged you. No matter what, Nolan is your brother. How can you speak to him so disrespectfully? Do you have any sense of propriety?"

From the beginning, he had come up and accused her, and she could ignore his suspicions about her relationship with Nolan.

But he even directed his anger at Nolan; she couldn't bear it anymore.

However, her standing up for Nolan deeply provoked Michael. He tightened his jawline and sneered. "Brother? He just returned to the country and is already interfering in our marriage, meeting you behind my back, doing all these shady things. Does he deserve to be my brother?"

He knew Isabella had feelings for Nolan. But they hadn't divorced yet; they were just having a small quarrel, and Nolan dared to take advantage of the situation and intervene between them. He couldn't swallow this anger.

Isabella was so angry she could hardly speak.

Michael was simply unreasonable; their conversation was on completely different wavelengths.

"Michael, you're just a madman. I don't want to say another word to you. Move aside!" Isabella pushed Nolan, trying to leave, but Michael's tall figure blocked the way, making it impossible to pass.

Michael squinted his eyes. "Explain to me clearly, where are you going?"

"Where we go is none of your business!" Isabella's patience was exhausted; she didn't want to tell him anything.

She couldn't understand why Michael was so fixated on her and Nolan today.

"If you won't say, let him say." Michael signaled with his eyes to Nolan, who was sitting in a wheelchair, then raised his hand, indicating for Isabella to leave. "You leave, I have something to ask him."

Isabella was even more unwilling; who knew if Michael would go crazy and hit Nolan.

After all, Nolan couldn't move his body now; he was no match for Michael.

"No, I disagree. If you have something to ask, do it with me here." The more she protected Nolan, the angrier Michael became.

He gritted his teeth and sneered. "Are you sure you want to hear what we have to say?"

Isabella retorted, her eyes wide open, "Why can't I listen?"

"The reason is that it involves you, so you can't listen."

Isabella was even more determined not to leave. "Then I definitely want to hear it. Who knows what bad things you'll say about me behind my back."

The two of them went back and forth, on the verge of a big argument.

Nolan, sitting in the wheelchair, sighed helplessly.

He interrupted them, "Isabella, listen to me. Go to the front hall first; I'll be there soon."

Michael was clearly here with resentment. If someone had to stay and endure it, he would rather it be him than Isabella.

Isabella was worried about him. "Nolan, I can't leave. What if he hits you as soon as I leave?"

Nolan was innocently caught up in her and Michael's issues. If Nolan got hurt because of this, she would feel even more guilty.

Nolan gave her a doting smile. "What nonsense are you talking about? Michael is my brother. No matter what, he wouldn't hit me. Trust me, I believe he won't do that."

His voice was light, but it carried a very convincing power. Isabella felt much more at ease.

She pursed her lips, about to say something, when Nolan explained, "Isabella, issues between men can only be resolved by us. You can't help by staying here; it will only make things more complicated. Besides..."

He glanced at Michael and continued, "Michael probably doesn't want you to hear some things, so give him some quiet space."

Since Nolan said so, Isabella couldn't insist on staying.

But she knew Michael who just wanted to take the opportunity to threaten Nolan to stay away from her. He wouldn't be so gentlemanly as to negotiate with Nolan.

"Fine, I'll wait for you by Grandpa. Come quickly," Isabella said, looking worriedly at the atmosphere between the two, but eventually left.

In the pavilion, only Nolan and Michael were left; the two stood facing each other.

They could see the seven or eight points of resemblance in each other's faces.

They were so alike, but their differences were too obvious.

Nolan glanced at Isabella's figure disappearing into the backyard, then turned his attention back to Michaeland sighed, "Isabella has left. Go ahead and speak."

Michael was the youngest in the family, pampered like a treasure by everyone.

However, Nolan was the second son, overshadowed by the eldest brother Brandon Brown, and with Michael as the charming younger brother, he was never valued.

Even though they looked so similar, it didn't earn him any parental love.

So over the years, he had gotten used to it.

Facing Michael, he always yielded. Whatever Michael wanted, someone would fight for him, and he would inevitably be the one to sacrifice.

Even so, he never received any care, because everyone thought it was his duty.

Seeing Nolan's patient demeanor, Michael's eyes narrowed, and he sneered. "Nolan, have you had enough of pretending? There's no one else here. Put away your hypocritical mask!"
